Contribution Rules: Individuals may contribute up to $1,200 to a single candidate. The total contribution limit for one contributor to multiple candidates for the same council is $5,000. Contributions must be from a resident of Ontario.
Corporate & Union: Please note that corporations and trade unions are prohibited from making contributions to municipal candidates in Ontario. Only individuals resident in Ontario may contribute. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal or provincial income tax purposes.
